The Great Tit eggs laid at the Priory School in Hitchin have all hatched. The school which set up a spring watch webcam in a nesting box to monitor the nesting habits of the Great Tit watched live on the school website as the eggs laid earlier this month hatched to reveal hungry mouths.

The school which set up a spring watch webcam in a nesting box to monitor the nesting habits of the Great Tit watched live on the school website as the eggs laid earlier this month hatched to reveal hungry mouths.
Assistant headteacher Faye Jowett, who set up the project, said:
“The eggs started hatching on Friday and the rest on Saturday."
"I’ve counted eight beaks but there may be nine."
"We’ve had 25,000 hits on the website, it’s just amazing.”
