COMET country is set for a scorcher of a weekend, with the mercury expected to tip 29 degrees Celsius.
Saturday could be the hottest day of the year so far, with the Met Office forecasting highs of 29 degrees in Stevenage, North Herts and Central Beds.
Sunday is set to be slightly cooler, with maximum temperatures of 26 degrees Celsius.
It’s good news for the events taking place this weekend, which include Stevenage Race for Life, Pirton Fair, Rhythms of the World fun day, Baldock Day and various school fetes and fayres.
If you’re going to any of these events, or if you have other plans for the sunshine, send us your pictures by emailing editorial@thecomet.net or tweet @thecomet24
