The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for Hertfordshire as heavy snowfall continues in the county.
The East of England forecast is for periods of snow today, heavy at times.
The Met Office adds: “Cloudy with periods of snow inland, rain near the coast, turning heavy in places with significant snow accumulations further west.
“Rain and snow tending to ease later from the north.
“Very cold with the temperature staying near freezing in places.
“Maximum temperature 3 °C.”
Tonight we can expect “bitterly cold” temperatures with possible light snow showers.
The Met Office expects many areas to have a dry night though, however, it warns of hazardous ice.
On Monday, Hertfordshire can expect more sleet and snow, possible heavy in parts.
Tuesday looks to be dry and cold.
By Wednesday, it is expected to be windy and cloudy with some rain.
