A youngsters’ football club in Ashwell has been given a cash boost of more than £600 to pay for new goal posts.
Gemma Allan of the Ashwell Show presented the cheque to the thrilled Ashwell Accies – one of the first groups to be handed cash by show organisers since the turn of the year.
Over the last decade, the Ashwell Show has raised more than £100,000 for clubs, societies and organisations and, following a successful 2016 event, the committee is delighted to once again be making contributions to local good causes.
Ashwell Show chairman John Connolly said: “We would like to say a big thank you to those who helped at the show, and we’re delighted to be able to help The Ashwell Accie with their new goals.”
