Stevenage’s Town Square will transform into an open-air cinema for the first time this weekend.
On Saturday night at 7pm, movie lovers can enjoy the 2014 reboot of the classic monster movie franchise Godzilla.
Not forgetting the kids, the animated film The Secret Life of Pets – rated U – was chosen by popular vote to be shown on Sunday at 2pm.
With astroturf for lounging on and popcorn, coffees, ice cream and prosecco on sale, all families need to bring is a blanket or camping chairs.
Town centre manager Tina Benson said: “It’s a first for Stevenage and should be a great movie weekend. People can pop along and enjoy a film, snacks and a drink under the stars right in the centre of town.”The weather in Stevenage is currently forecast to be dry this weekend.
Advance booking is required here (Godzilla) and here (The Secret Life of Pets). Tickets are £2 for adults and £1 for children plus a 60p booking fee.
