COLLECTIONS of waste and recycling resumed today (Monday) across Comet country, after they were suspended last week due to the adverse weather.
All three councils, Stevenage Borough Council, North Herts District Council and Mid Beds District Council, said they hoped crews would catch up on the backlog of collections as soon as possible.
Steve Whittaker, Mid Beds District Council's contract services manager, said: "We will be making every effort to clear the backlog as soon as possible when conditions permit. In the mean time we're asking people to bear with us.
