POLICE have warned parents and children to be on their guard after two plastic containers of rat poison were stolen from a garage.

The poison, containing warfarin, was stolen from a garage in Lower Stondon between 5pm last Monday, February 19, and 9am the following day.

Police have warned that the 20 to 40lbs of poison that was taken could be dangerous in the wrong hands, and anyone who finds the substance, which is contained in two white buckets - one without a lid, the second labelled 'poison' - is advised not to touch it.

If anyone does find the poison, call Bedfordshire Police on 01234 841212 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
