Police are appealing for information to trace a man wanted in connection with a collision in Sandy last week.
A police officer was left with a broken leg when an Audi collided with a police car in Sunderland Way last Tuesday.
Jack Mitchell from Essex is wanted by police in connection with the incident – which also resulted in the Audi being abandoned and set on fire in Wynnefield Walk.
The 18-year-old has links to Bedfordshire and North London, although he is thought to have travelled to Harlow.
The injured officer has since been discharged from hospital as police continue to investigate the incident.
Anyone who knows the whereabouts or who may have seen Jack Mitchell, should contact police on 101 quoting Operation Microphone, or use Bedfordshire Police’s online reporting website at bedfordshire.police.uk/report.
Alternatively, contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
