Boro hope to name new boss ahead of weekend’s FA Cup game with Notts County
STEVENAGE chairman Phil Wallace is expected back in the country this week to finalise a deal to appoint the club’s new manager.
Currently out of the country on business, Wallace has been overseeing the appointment and interview process with Paul Ince, Paul Buckle and Gary Smith among the six candidates interviewed for the post.
Rumours circulated at the weekend suggesting Smith was about to be named the new manager but the club has yet to make a formal announcement with regards to whom they have chosen to succeed Graham Westley as manager.
Stevenage host MK Dons tomorrow (Tuesday) evening before they take on Notts County in the FA Cup Fourth Round this Saturday.
