Staff and customers at Walkern’s Brewery Tearooms have handed over the cash they raised at their annual coffee morning in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support and the East and North Herts Hospitals Charity.
The event, which was held in September, was a huge success with all sorts of cakes being sold and a wonderful raffle and bric-a-brac sale adding to the £3,200 final total.
The Brewery Tearooms has been supporting Macmillan through the annual event for many years. Hertfordshire fundraising manager Kerry Cunnane said: “It is such a pleasure working with Sarah Park and her staff at the Brewery Tearooms and their customers. They hold such wonderful events and help so many people in their local community.
“The money donated to Macmillan from this event could fund a Macmillan nurse for 59 hours.”
