VILLAGERS are setting up a farmers' market in an attempt to raise money for their community.
The people of Hexton will be holding the first market between 1pm and 4pm on Friday, January 19, at St Faith's Church in the village, and from then, on every third Friday of the month.
Among the items on sale will be fresh beef from Henlow. There will also be a Stevenage fishmonger attending as well as a Creole bakery set up on the day.
Money for the community will be raised by charging pitch holders to set up stall.
