VIKINGS invaded Stevenage Museum as part of National Archaeology Week.

Youngsters were there to watch them fight, learn about life as a Viking and visit their camp at the museum in St George's Way.

A spokesman said the week was "an opportunity to dig into the past to gain archaeology skills, learn about artefacts and delve into all periods of British archaeology".
