MEDIEVAL knights and Egyptian dancing girls were just some of the sights at a fun-filled festival at the weekend.
The annual Walsworth Festival in Hitchin came through a wet start on Sunday to provide the community with a day to remember as knights, dancers, ferrets, majorettes, drummers and musicians took over Walsworth Common and St Faith's Church.
A Walsworth's Got Talent competition, classic car show and Punch and Judy also kept the crowds entertained.
The event, organised by a small group of volunteers, has raised thousands for charity over its 35 years.
Ray Shakespeare-Smith, chairman of the Walsworth festival committee, said: "Although the day started out very wet, the sun came out, the public came out and had a terrific day out - and money was raised for numerous charities.
