A van loaded with music equipment owned by an up-and-coming heavy metal band has been stolen from a driveway in Knebworth, police have said.

Between 9.30pm on Sunday and 5.30am this morning, the white Ford Transit van, which had been left parked overnight on a driveway in Stockens Green, Knebworth, was stolen.

The equipment inside the van which belongs to heavy metal outfit Outright Resistance, who are based in Stevenage, includes two Fender Strat electric guitars, an ESP Ltd Horizon electric guitar, two Ibanez electric guitars, an orange cabinet amp, an Engl Amp and a Peavey 6505 amp.

It is estimated the equipment is worth around £5,000.
