Valuable construction equipment stolen from a van in Hitchin

A van was broken into in Hitchin with valuable construction equipment stolen.

The thieves targeted a parked van in Cooks Way, between 6pm on Tuesday, June 7, and 6.30am on Wednesday, June 8.

Among the items taken included a 16kg Bosch breaker, two wacker plates – a machine used to flatten tarmac for paving work – and two wheelbarrows.
