UPDATE: Teenager in court on Stevenage dog swinging charge

A teenager is due in court today, Monday, charged with causing an animal unnecessary suffering.

Alfie Loft, 19, from Hatfield, was charged on Sunday with the charge with relates to an incident where a black chihuahua dog was thrown around by its neck on a lead in Stevenage.

He will appear before Hatfield Magistrates Court this morning.

The dog, which did not belong to Mr Loft, was returned to its owner unharmed.
