A man who was wanted in connection with a robbery in an off-licence in Stevenage has been arrested and charged.

Mitchell Wilson, of Shephall Green, handed himself into police yesterday, the same day an appeal was launched to find a man who robbed cash and threatened a shop assistant at VSE Wines in Broadwater Crescent on Sunday.

The 23-year-old has been charged with robbery and will appear at Stevenage Magistrates’ Court on December 15.

Herts police want to thank the media and public for their help during the appeal.
