A 24-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a stabbing and is currently in police custody.

Officers confirmed this afternoon (Thursday) that the man, from Luton, was arrested after three men were stabbed and sustained serious injuries at an address in Highover Way in Hitchin yesterday (Wednesday) morning.

The altercation happened at around 1.15am.

Police believe that three men gained entry to the address and as a result some sort of confrontation occurred in which three men in the address received serious, but non-life threatening injuries.

Senior investigating officer detective inspector Amanda Bell said: “The circumstances surrounding this incident are very unclear at the moment and we are appealing to anyone who was in the vicinity at the time and may have heard or seen anything which will help our inquiry to get in touch as soon as possible.
