Two teenage boys have been arrested on suspicion of assault and fare dodging.

Police were called to Stevenage train station yesterday evening at around 7.15pm following reports that two people had been assaulted.

The offices, from the British Transport Police and Herts police, arrested a 15-year-old on suspicion of actual bodily harm and fare evasion and a 13-year-old on suspicion of common assault and fare evasion.

A spokesman for the BTP said: “Both youths have been bailed to appear at a police station on Saturday, 13 December.”

It is not believed that the people who were assaulted suffered serious injuries.
