TWO 12-year-old boys from Stevenage have been arrested on suspicion of arson following a fire at an old school site.
Firefighters were called to the site of the former Shephall Green Infant School in Stevenage at about 5.15pm on Friday, where a timber outbuilding was well alight.
It took three crews almost an hour to put out the fire.
Nobody was injured, but the building was extensively damaged.
Police arrested one 12-year-old boy on Friday, and another on Saturday, and both were taken into custody.
Enquiries are ongoing at this time, and police are appealing for information and witnesses. Anyone who knows anything about the fire is asked to call Herts Police on 0845 33 00 222.
