Three people suffered neck injuries in a rush hour crash this morning on a busy road in Hitchin which caused gridlock in the town.
The collision took place just after 8.15am in Cambridge Road, and involved a Vauxhall Vivaro van and a Peugeot 308.
Firefighters helped a person who was trapped in one of the vehicles, with two people taken to Lister Hospital in Stevenage with non-life threatening injuries.
The smash, near to Harkness Roses and Hedley Wright Wine Merchants, saw the road closed by police until 10.10am as traffic backed-up through to Nightingale Road.
