TWO people were taken to hospital after a collision between a car and a lorry near Ashwell. The accident, at the junction of Station Road and the A505, occurred in the early hours of Thursday morning, and two ambulances from Letchworth attended the scene.

The accident, at the junction of Station Road and the A505, occurred in the early hours of Thursday morning, and two ambulances from Letchworth attended the scene.
Ambulance service spokesman Gary Sanderson said: "We believe a car was in collision with a lorry at the Ashwell train station junction on the A505.
"A man and a woman from the car sustained minor injuries. They were both taken to the Lister hospital in Stevenage. The lorry driver was checked over by paramedics but did not have to go to hospital," he said.
