Two men appeared in court on Monday charged with rape.
James Salmon, of Whitehorse Lane in Stevenage, and Martin Goodwin, 24, of Abbotts Close, London, appeared at Stevenage Magistrates’ Court following an incident in Hitchin on January 4 where it is alleged a female over the age of 16 was raped.
Mr Salmon, 35, is also charged with sexually assaulting a female over the age of 16.
The pair were given conditional bail ahead of a preliminary hearing set for Cambridge Crown Court on Monday.
