Two men who were taken to hospital last night after a fight in a Stevenage pub car park have been arrested.

The incident took place outside The Granby pub in North Road at about 11.05pm and involved four men.

Two of the men were treated for injuries in hospital and, after being discharged, were both arrested on suspicion of affray and released on bail.

Officers, who put up a police cordon outside the pub, now need to speak to the other two men involved and are following a number of lines of enquiry.

Investigating officer Det Con Neil Davies said: “I am appealing for anyone who was in the area at the time the incident took place and saw what happened to please get in contact via the police non-emergency number 101 quoting crime reference number E1/16/2016.”
