TWO people killed in a car crash yesterday (Thursday) have been named.

Victor Barlow, 38, and Bibi Khan, 39, of Emily Place in Fairfield Park, near Stotfold, were killed in a crash on the A600 near to Rowney Warren in Chicksands just after 9am.

Mr Barlow had been driving a silver Volkswagen Passat, with Ms Khan as a passenger, when it was in collision with a black Vauxhall Astra.

Mr Barlow and Ms Khan were pronounced dead at the scene. The man driving the Astra was taken to Lister Hospital in Stevenage with minor injuries.

Inquests into both deaths were opened and adjourned today (Friday), giving multiple injuries as the cause of their deaths.

Tributes to Mr Barlow and Ms Khan have been posted on social networking site Facebook.

One message reads: “Rest in heaven Bibi, u were a lovely woman. My heart goes out to your son, he was your everything xx”

Another says: “U wil both be missed....such a sad loss....Neva forgotten, U will live on in our hearts always xxxx”

A tribute believed to have been left by Ms Khan’s son, Dylan, simply reads: “Love you mum, love you vinny x”

A full collision investigation is underway and police are appealing for witnesses.

PC Andy Carter, of Beds Police’s Collision Investigation Unit, is keen to speak with anyone who saw the collision or anyone who saw either car prior to the collision as they were travelling on the A600.
