AN ambulance service spokesman said a man and woman had been taken to Lister Hospital, Stevenage, with minor injuries following two accidents that partially blocked the A505 at Offley Hill earlier this morning.
Both the injured drivers had been travelling towards Hitchin. Another accident happened on the opposite carriageway close to the first incident when a driver stopped to call the emergency services and her car was struck from the rear by a flat-bed lorry. Nobody was injured in this accident.
At 10.15am the A505 towards Hitchin remained closed but police had been able to open up the road towards Luton.
