A two-car shunt at a notorious Hitchin junction this morning partially blocked the road – causing severe rush hour delays for drivers.
The collision happened around 8.50am between a brown Vauxhall Corsa and a black Ford C-Max on the A602 Parkway at the Charlton Road turning, which blocked the carriageway into the centre of Hitchin.
A police spokesman confirmed there were no injuries and they are working towards clearing the scene.
A driver caught up in the jam said: “The traffic was backed up to the Little Wymondley turn.”
