A 10-year-old Letchworth girl is buzzing after raising £150 for endangered polar bears.

Emily Ansell raised the dosh for the World Wide Fund for Nature by selling off her own cuddly toys and biscuits at a stall in the town’s Garden Square Shopping Centre.

Mum Sarah said: “The turnout was great, lots of people stopped by with donations after seeing her in the Comet.

“Her dad Simon and I are extremely proud of her.”

Emily caught the eye of some famous faces when they heard about her fundraising efforts for the WWF.

TV presenters Chris Packham and Gordon Buchanan both tweeted the young campaigner to say well done.
