A troupe of budding young actors are looking the part ahead of performing in The Railway Children on stage in London.

Boys from Baldock, Hitchin and Letchworth have been chosen to play in the ensemble in a handful of performances at King’s Cross Theatre in London, which has extended its run and will play from Saturday until January 3 – and they need period haircuts to look the part.

Mike Kenny’s stage adaption of Edith Nesbit’s novel was due to finish in September but has been extended due to popular demand.

Producer Sue Scott Davison said: “We decided to cast the ensemble teams from North Herts this time, as we have been extremely impressed by the consistent high standard of performance and behaviour from the children.” To book tickets visit www.railwaychildrenlondon.com.
