A group of travellers have abandoned a site they had been occupying for more than a fortnight, police confirmed today (Monday).
More than 15 caravans were parked outside the empty Fujitsu building in King’s Road, Stevenage, on a site owned by investment company Hamilton Bradshaw – owned by former Dragons’ Den star James Caan.
They are believed to have vacated the premises by approximately 8.45pm last night (Sunday).
Emergency services had previously attended following reports of a fire at the site.
