Some Great Northern rail services towards London are facing disruption this evening after an item was caught in overhead wires in the Sandy area.
Great Northern tweeted: “Due to an object being caught on the overhead electric wires between Peterborough and Stevenage some lines are closed.”
Trains between the two stations may be cancelled or delayed, and disruption is expected until 6pm.
Great Northern has said to follow the incident on Twitter use #Sandy.
