Hundreds of you have been watching The Flying Scotsman making its inaugural journey from London King’s Cross to York today after a 10-year refit, and here is a selection of images captured.
Readers have been taking pictures as the historic locomotive made its way through Knebworth, Stevenage, Hitchin, Letchworth, Baldock and Arlesey this morning – while others had already captured the train heading down to London the day before.
The Flying Scotsman was a bit behind schedule after reports of around 60 people on the track near St Neots. A later disruption at Doncaster proved to be a false alarm.
The locomotive has now safely arrived in York, where it is going on display at the National Railway Museum.
