Emergency services are at the scene of a “serious” crash on a major road in which a woman is trapped.
Police, ambulance and fire services are on the A505 Bedford Road, Hitchin, after receiving a call of two cars involved in a crash.
Police received the call at 2.37pm of reports that one of the cars had left the road and that a female was trapped in one of the vehicles.
The accident is on the Hitchin bound carriageway.
The road has been closed in the Luton to Hitchin direction at the Stopsley roundabout. Motorists are being advised to avoid the area while the incident is being dealt with.
