A woman was taken to hospital this morning after her car crashed into the central reservation of the A1(M).
The woman, who was driving a blue Mini One, was travelling northbound on the motorway between Junction 8 for Stevenage and Junction 9 for Letchworth Gate at about 11am when she had to swerve to avoid hitting another vehicle.
Her car collided with the central reservation and ended up on the hard shoulder.
She suffered minor injuries and was taken to Lister Hospital in Stevenage by ambulance.
Police also attended the scene, which was cleared by 11.47am.
