A WOMAN has been left with slight injuries after a two vehicle collision on the A1(M) this afternoon (Thursday).
Police, ambulance and fire crews were called to the incident halfway between junctions 6 and 7 going northbound. at about 4pm
A Renault Clio and a Ford Transit van were in collision with each other and a woman, believed to be in her 40s, is reported to have minor injuries. She had to be cut free from the car by fire crews, and was conveyed to hospital.
Traffic is said to be heavy, with the motorway down to one lane and one point.
Emergency services are still at the scene dealing with the incident.
