A woman in her 80s has been rushed to hospital in a life-threatening condition after being resuscitated in Letchworth town centre this morning.
Emergency crews were called at 8.20am to the Morrisons supermarket, off Broadway, with an East Anglian Air Ambulance landing in Broadway Gardens.
Police, an ambulance crew and officer and two rapid response vehicles attended and gave treatment at the scene to the woman – who had gone into cardiac arrest.
The woman was taken to Stevenage’s Lister Hospital by road ambulance in what an ambulance service spokesman called “a life-threatening condition”.
