A WOMAN has been taken to hospital after a crash involving two cars this morning (Monday).

Emergency services were called to Bedwell Crescent in Stevenage shortly after 9am following reports of a collision between a blue Ford Focus and a blue Ford people carrier.

A female driver is believed to have been putting her young child into her car when the collision occurred, sustaining a foot injury.

She was taken to Lister Hospital in Stevenage for treatment. The child and the other driver were unhurt.

Firefighters were also called due to fears that a driver was trapped but their assistance was not required.
