A woman in her 20s was taken to the Lister Hospital in Stevenage with minor injuries after being cut free from her car on the A1(M) this morning.
Shortly before 6am, a white Suzuki had to swerve in windy conditions on the southbound carriageway near Junction 9 for Letchworth Gate.
The car subsequently crashed into a barrier, with fire crews using cutting equipment to free the woman from her car.
Ambulance crews treated her at the scene before taking her to hospital.
