A man in his 80s is in hospital after being involved in a collision with a car this morning.
At around 9.30am on Nightingale Road in Hitchin, the blue Peugeot collided with the man, who suffered serious injuries.
Police do not know the reasons why this happened.
Sgt William Hood from the Beds, Cambs and Herts Road Policing Unit said: “Investigations are being carried out to establish the circumstances around the incident and I am appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision, or events leading up to it, to please get in touch.”
