A woman in her 70s who smashed into a tree outside a busy supermarket has been taken to hospital with head injuries.
The East of England Ambulance Service said she is being treated at Lister Hospital for head and facial injuries after she lost control of her blue Mini and hit a tree head-on at the rear of Waitrose in Stevenage Old Town shortly after 12.30pm.
