Train lines have reopened following a temporary standstill today (Tuesday).

Replacement bus services had been running from Stevenage to London after signalling problems between New Barnet and Alexandra Palace brought trains to a stop.

Although the lines have reopened, Network Rail says services are likely to be continue to be delayed.

First Capital Connect Customer Service Director Keith Jipps said: “It has been a very frustrating day for our passengers and staff. We have done our best to help but the signalling system also knocked out many of our station information and online systems which made a difficult situation even harder.”

Network Rail apologises for any inconvenience caused.
