TWO pensioners who were taken to hospital last weekend with serious injuries after the car they were travelling in collided with another vehicle in Stevenage are now said to be stable.
The 67-year-old driver and a 63-year-old female passenger, both from Hatfield, were rushed to hospital after their blue Ford Fiesta collided with a silver Ford Focus on Lytton Way at the junction with Six Hills Way last Sunday afternoon.
The driver was taken to Lister Hospital with life threatening injuries, and the woman to Addenbrookes Hospital in Cambridge with head injuries.
Both are now recovering in hospital, and are today (Friday) said to be stable.
The driver of the Ford Focus was uninjured.
