A teenager was hospitalised last night after smashing into a tree in a front garden.
The 17-year-old male driver was taken to Lister Hospital with slight injuries after losing control of his vehicle on Whempstead Road, Benington at around 7.30pm and hitting the mature tree.
The East of England Ambulance Service said the youth was out of the car when paramedics arrived.
He added: “The driver of the car was very lucky to have escaped with slight injuries as the car was extensively damaged on the driver’s side.”
