Rail passengers can expect delays after safety checks on the track between Arlesey and Hitchin this morning.
The delays, of about 10 minutes, are southbound from Hitchin and are expected to until end of service today.
Update: A temporary repair has been completed with services largely returned to normal.
A full repair is being carried out by Network Rail overnight, prior to the morning service.
