TRAFFIC ground to a standstill this morning (Tuesday) after a motorcyclist collided with the central reservation on the A1(M) southbound between junctions 7-6 at roughly 6.45am.
Ambulance crews from Letchworth GC and Stevenage attended the scene and paramedics treated the man, in his 50s, at the roadside before he was taken to Lister Hospital.
A police spokesman said: “It’s just traffic chaos it has had a real impact on traffic in the Stevenage and North Herts area.”
Two Ford Fiestas also collided on the Graveley Road and North Road junction in Stevenage at around 8.05am this morning causing a tailback up North Road.
One person involved has minor injuries and the vehicles are awaiting recovery.
