The emergency services received the first call at 8.16am after a 15-year-old boy was hit by a car on York Road. He was taken to Lister Hospital with minor injuries.

At 8.26am they were scrambled again to the cycle path alongside Martins Way where a 17-year-old male moped rider had collided with a fence. He was also taken to Lister with minor injuries.

The third accident was called in to 999 at 8.52am reporting a collision between a male pedestrian in his 30s and a car on Six Hills Way. He was taken to Lister with a suspected broken arm.

East of England Ambulance service spokesman Gary Sanderson said: “This was quite a busy period for the local paramedics and thankfully all three patients did not sustain serious injuries.”
