A teenage motorcyclist was hospitalised after a collision with a car on Saturday night.
The 19-year-old man received facial injuries in the crash between a silver Yamaha and a blue Volkswagen Polo at the junction of Jessop Road and Vardon Road, near to The Oval neighbourhood shops at 7.45pm.
Three ambulance crews were sent to the scene and paramedics treated the injured man at the roadside before taking him to Lister for further treatment.
Police shut Vardon Road from Lonsdale Road until 9pm.
