London Road in Baldock is closed after several trees fell across the carriageway amid Storm Doris, hitting cars and electrical cabling.
There are fortunately thought to be no injuries, but emergency crews remain at the scene amid the gale-force winds.
Baldock & Letchworth fire station’s watch officer tweeted: “Baldock crew mobilised to a tree which had fallen on cars and electrical cabling. Crews made scene safe.”
A police spokeswoman said Highways England had been called.
