A person was trapped in a vehicle after a two-car collision in Stevenage this afternoon.

Emergency services were called at about 1.40pm to a collision between a Ford Focus and a Toyota Avensis on Fairlands Way.

A person was released from the car by fire crews working on the scene.

The ambulance service treated two people for their injuries, which are not thought to be critical.

The section of road between Grace Way and Bedwell Crescent has been temporarily closed.
