There is solid traffic on the A1(M) southbound from Baldock Services to Stevenage this morning after a multi-vehicle crash prompted officers to close the road.
A police spokesman said a motorcycle with two people on board collided with two cars at about 7.25am this morning, near Junction 8 for Stevenage.
The southbound carriageway has just been reopened after about an hour, with traffic solid all the way back to Junction 10 for Baldock Services.
An ambulance spokesman said two crews were sent to assist and treated two patients, both from the bike, who were taken to Stevenage’s Lister Hospital for further care.
Critical care resources were not required, thankfully, indicating that neither patient was in a life-threatening condition.
